Russia - Georgia Conflict Update on This War Situation

To me this whole situation sounds ridiculous. Georgia enters territory they do not own and start killing innocent people. Russia acts as peace keeper in this situation, however Georgia keeps saying that Russia attacked them. How is that right?

By doing this, Georgia tried to solve their territorial problems as they need them solved in order to enter NATO.
